About the Event
Chardonnay truly is the 'Tilapia' of the grapes – it is one of the most popular wines in the world, it is a very hardy grape and therefore one of the easier grapes to grow and it’s flavor profile is... well... what is it?? It has so many different expressions, from green fruit to tropical, and don't get me started on the range of buttery notes.... How do you know what you're getting??
Come join us as we explore the different taste profiles that Chardonnay can express, as we learn about regional, climatic and maturation influences. The wines we will be tasting are:
- Jean-Marc Brocard, Chablis, Domaine Sainte Claire 2019 (if you cannot get this wine, try to find a wine from Chablis, France)
- Au Bon Climat, Chardonnay, Santa Barbara County 2018 (if you cannot get this wine, try to find a Chardonnay with oak, typically from California)
If you can get one (or both!) of these wines to taste along with me, that is fabulous! If not, feel free to supplement with any Chardonnay, and please let me know ahead of time which wine you'll be tasting.
Please note, I may be taping the class to use for my own purposes, including potentially adding to my website. If you do not wish to be included in the tape, please don't turn on your video and disguise your name.
Cheers!
