About the Event
It seems like everyone is drinking rosé these days! But what really is rosé? Is it only a summer drink? Is it a serious wine? With so many styles, colors and flavors of rosé wines, which one is best for you? I thought it would be fun to go back to basics with rosé wines to learn what the different styles, expressions and flavors really are. And to explore them all!
Join me as we explore the different production methods, countries, and flavors of rosé wines.
I'll be tasting the following two wines:
- Fleur de Mer, Rosé, Cotes de Provence, 2019 (if you cannot find this wine, please choose a wine from Provence, France or one made from Grenache grapes)
- Il Rosé di Casanova, La Spinetta, 2019 (if you cannot find this wine, please choose a wine from Toscana, Italy or one made from Sangiovese grapes)
This week I would like to honor the Youth Renewal Fund. Youth Renewal Fund is the philanthropic and strategic funding partner for the Darca network of schools in Israel. Darca provides Israeli high school students in lower income communities—regardless of ability, religion, birthplace, geographic or socio-economic status—an excellent education designed to improve social mobility. And right now, during COVID-19, they are supporting more than just their educational needs. If you would like to help me in raising funds for this amazing charity, please consider sending $10 to my Venmo account: @Beth-Bornstein-1 for donation. This is NOT required to attend the tasting.
Please note, I may be taping the class to use for my own purposes, including potentially adding to my website. If you do not wish to be included in the tape, please don't turn on your video and disguise your name.
Cheers!
